Best DPS Characters in Genshin Impact, Ranked

That's not to say that Genshin Impact is a poor game. It's actually very enjoyable once you get into a good rhythm, provided you have the patience for it and your tolerance for grinding is higher than mine. But that isn't to say players won't have an easier time finding things to love as well.

For example, the visuals are very impressive and fall in line in terms of quality with other big budget mobile games from Koei Tecmo like Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence . It's also surprisingly amusing, mainly due to its silly character designs and gameplay scenarios.

It's important to have a varied group of characters in Genshin Impact for different purposes. When you're trying to collect materials, you'll only need a tank and maybe one or two other "DPS" character at most.

But when it comes to dungeon runs progamingsettings.net and PVP, it's very risky to have just one or two of these "DPS" characters in your party, especially because they are often the first targeted by PVP players. As such, having 3-4 high Genshin Impact DPS Characters is what helps teams survive against other players who might want nothing more than your sweet, sweet salvage and experience points.

While the usual suspects (in anime, means characters released before Genshin Impact) like Grave Keeper and Violet are still present in the top rankings, they're not as dominant as they used to be anymore. This is all thanks to the introduction of a new set of cards that have made things interesting.

Chongyun

It's hard to believe that I have never done a review on Chongyun. Even though he was introduced in 2011 with the release of the new North American Servers, it is important to cover him now as he is one of the best Genshin Impact DPS Characters for cryo team compositions (tank+dps+support).

With the recent changes to his specs and skills, he is better than ever. The classic 4th position on a hydro based team will always be his but new positions are becoming more common with the rising popularity of S + D or D + D + S team comp or even support + durahan teams.

Beidou

Beidou isn't too weak either. Her EMP ability allows her to set off an electro-attack using her sword and stuns nearby enemies for a few seconds. Her split ability allows her to dash through an enemy and emit an AoE electro shockwave causing damage, stunning any unfortunate soul nearby.

Xiangling

Sanada Yori still has her ability to turn the tide of battle into your favor. And one of her biggest perks is that she's not restricted from using any other baits, unlike Diluc and Xianglin. She can also use these baits to set up for a full team elemental burst which can be devastating against the enemy, especially when it's mixed with all the DPS you'll get from your Choi Youngjuns (assuming no friendly fire).

Noelle

Her other 2 skills are Windmill Slash (S3) and Cometstar Glaive (S4). The latter is what makes her sustain ~80% of her total DPS. Since the glaive need to hit an enemy within Noelle's sight, all you have to do is throw the projectile at a direction and run away hoping that it'll hit something, i.e. lured mobs or summoned minions primarily.

Noelle is also a reasonable DPS dealer because she doesn't rely on weapon attacks much unlike with other characters who use claymores. Thankfully this isn't an issue either thanks to her glaive's AOE effect in S4. That means enemies will catch the glaive in mid-air if they're

Fischl

In battle, Fischl will deal both physical and electrical damage. Every time she gets a kill she gains a stack of "Sticky Spew" (a debuff) that can be cleansed by Oz or by the player casting their Cleanse ability. If either of them are destroyed while they have this debuff they explode violently, dealing damage to all enemies within 5 tiles in all directions.

Enemies also take 100 electricity damage if they are close, though it originates from Fischl. The explosion and extra electrocution damage benefit from the character's level and each ability as well as all enhancements on Oz.
